From a Small Guesthouse to Three Wild Basecamps
It began with a backpack, a map, and a cheap dorm bed.
Laughing Leopard started with a simple belief: a great hostel should feel like home — only wilder. What began as one cosy hideaway in the misty hills has grown into a family of three hostels, each tucked into one of Sri Lanka’s most magical corners.
A jungle basecamp beneath Sigiriya’s ancient rock fortress. A highland retreat among rolling tea fields in Nuwara Eliya. A sunny beach pad on the calm turquoise coast of Trincomalee. Different backdrops, the same soul — warm beds, hot showers, and common rooms built for strangers to become friends.
